This is a typical passenger boat on the Mekong. The two day trip between Luang Prabang and Huai Sai, Laos costs about $14 (lodging at an overnight stop not included, although we paid only $2). By luck we booked a bigger boat wtih only eight passengers. It was total luxury, and cost only $10pp for the two days of fascinating travel.
