The buttons on the left will lead you to our 1999-2000 logs
This period saw us traveling throughout Mexico, the USA and Canada to the Arctic Circle, back to the “lower 48” and then on to Portugal and finally on to Thailand.
A summary of the logs: The Big Day finally arrived after years of planning, and we left our Virginia home near Washington, DC for the last time. We had already sold almost everything we owned (although our condo had not yet sold), packed our remaining belongings for storage, and after 23 years in Washington, DC (12 for Becky) departed forever. We used a U-Haul truck to move our remaining possessions to our new hometown, Belle Fourche, South Dakota.
These logs represent the high and lows of a mission that continues to this day.
