We awoke to strange noises our first night in Pokhara, only to discover a waterbuffalo beneath our window. Nepal is primarily a Hindu country, so cows and waterbuffalo wander freely on the streets and fields. They often lumber across busy intersections, taking their sweet time, and even lay down in the road.
