We enjoyed our "alternate route" up the mountain to the Peace Pagoda Stupa (becoming lost repeatedly and losing blood to leeches), but we later discovered this much-improved trail that drops nearly 2,000 feet to scenic Fewa Lake at Pokhara, where we hired a boat to row us to town.
