Friends

Our friend Sandup (2nd from right) was a "street boy" in Kathmandu before a concerned American sponsored him. His wife Furpu is holding Pema, their daughter. At right is Yutan. She had been abandoned when Sandup her found lying near death at a temple. and saved here, bringing her his family. Now stuck in Kathmandu, he can no longer return to their lodge on the Annapurna Trek because Maoists would capture him and make him fight the Army.
