Sailing Vessel Pioneer
For highest photo display quality, please disable any dial-up “accelerator” you may be using.
Although we continue to travel large areas of the world overland, our only actual “home” is a 38 foot blue-water sailing vessel named Pioneer. We purchased our semi-custom Cabo Rico in Florida at the beginning of 2002 and then extensively refitted her in North Carolina. Pioneer has taken us to virtually every sailing destination between the Chesapeake and the Dry Tortugas Islands west of Key West, Florida, at the bottom of the Keys -- and throughout the islands of the Bahamas -- and more recently from the Chesapeake to the eastern Caribbean.
To see more sailing photos, check our Bahamas Photo Gallery.
There are also sailing photos in our galleries for FLORIDA (includes the Florida Keys and the Dry Tortugas), NORTH CAROLINA, VIRGINIA (includes the Dismal Swamp Canal), and MARYLAND (which includes Pioneer’s Renaming Ceremony as emceed by Neptune, God of the Seas).
Our most recent sailing photos can be found in our Ocean Sailing photo gallery.
These photo galleries include photos of Pioneer at anchor and at sea. They also include some sailboats of friends we met while underway.
If you have a specific request we’ll be pleased to consider posting an additional gallery. Please contact us at this address: mail[at]twogypsies[dot]com.
