A 700-person black tie appreciation dinner was held in Washington after Al Simpson announced his retirement. It was particularily rewarding that nearly as many Democrats as Republicans were in attendance. Here, Simpson and Ted Kennedy laugh over their 18 years of friendly rivalry.
